Bertha Bartlett Public Library – Story City, Iowa for a position at the Gilbert Library

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and creating joyful, educational experiences for children? Do you love stories, creativity, and making a difference in your community? Then come join our team at the newly expanded and renovated Bertha Bartlett Public Library!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, imaginative, and energetic Librarian to man the desk and to work into creating after-school programming Wednesday afternoons

 

·         Collaborate with staff to create a welcoming, playful, and educational library experience

·         Use (or be willing to learn) computers and library systems to support programming and communication

·         Work directly with patrons checking out materials and using materials

What We’re Looking For:

·         Experience teaching or working with children and adults

·         A creative spirit and a love for engaging people in learning 

·         A team player with strong communication and organizational skills

·         Comfort with technology, or willingness to learn

·         Ability to create inclusive, age-appropriate programming

Details:

·         Part-time:10-15 hours per week

·         Schedule includes Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2-6 pm and some Saturdays 10 - noon.

·         Pay based on experience. We do offer IPERS.
