Join us on Thursdays at 10:30 am for preschool storytime! We'll enjoy stories, finger plays, songs and more, centered around a different theme each week. Parents, grandparents and care givers welcome.

Summer Reading Programs

The Gilbert Library offers a summer reading program that is open to all ages, from baby to adult. Our program includes reading challenges, special program events and chances to earn prizes! NOTE: Effective July 1, 2011, the City of Gilbert is contracting with Bertha Bartlett Public Library in Story City for library services. That means all the library benefits Gilbert residents have enjoyed in the past, but with the added bonus of having a physical location within Gilbert city limits.

NOTE: The Gilbert Library is currently open by appointment only and limited to a total of 4 patrons in the building at a time. Masks are strongly encouraged.

^Summer Hours: Thursday, 2:30 pm to 7 pm; Saturday 10 am to 1 pm

*If the weekend includes a holiday on Thursday or Monday, the library will be closed on Saturday.
