Storytime Express

An outreach program for area daycares from Bertha Bartlett Public Library.

Storytime Express

Storytime Express is an outreach program sponsored by Bertha Bartlett Public Library and funded through grants from Story County Empowerment and United Way of Story County Golf Fore Kids.

Through Storytime Express, the Bertha Bartlett Public Library provides library programs and materials to local home daycares, daycare centers, and preschools in the Story City area.  It is often difficult to transport a large group of children to the library for storytime on a regular basis.  Storytime Express comes to the rescue!  If the children cannot come to the library, then the library will come to the children.  Each month a library staff member will visit your child's preschool and present a 30 minute storytime with music and finger play activities.

Storytime Express is currently serving Little Flock Daycare, Story City Headstart, Luella Kalvik's Preschool (Friday class) and nine in-home daycares in the Story City area.
